Artificial intelligence is here, and it’s more potent than most people realize. A.I. will be everywhere: in our cars and homes, smartphones, and offices — even at the grocery store! With A.I. becoming more common than ever, it makes sense that it will also be used to make improvements on a larger scale.

Artificial Intelligence Sorting Human Data

A.I. is more effective than humans at sorting through massive quantities of data to spot patterns. A computer can do it faster and more efficiently than a human because it doesn’t have the same biases, assumptions, or prejudices humans have. This is especially true when they’re trying to make sense of things. Also, computers don’t tire and can be trained or instructions to look for specific things that can easily be hidden from the human eye.

Using A.I. to Improve Environmental Sustainability

The environment has been a hot topic for several generations. However, humans have made little progress in terms of reversing climate change. With the help of A.I., we can start to make fundamental changes to the world around us. There are already AI Algorithms that have been put to use to help track the effects of clean fuel and other renewable energies. The same tools have been used to predict the weather, which helps reduce energy costs accurately. IBM alone has reported a 30% increase in prediction accuracy thanks partly to their A.I.

Using A.I. to Track Historical Trends

It’s also better at finding patterns in data that humans can’t because it has access to all the information needed for analysis: historical trends and statistics along with real-time data streams from devices around us that collect information about our behavior; plus machine learning algorithms that learn how people interact with each other based on their past interactions. This includes social media and offline media interactions that have been uploaded to the internet.

Moving Forward Into The Future

As we’ve seen, A.I. can do many things that humans are not good at—and it will only get better. As technology keeps advancing and more data is collected, A.I. can make even more effective decisions about our lives. But with all those capabilities comes great responsibility: we need to think about what kinds of decisions might be made for us before they’re made by machines whose decisions we don’t have any say in.
