MMS is an abbreviation or acronym for Multimedia Messaging Service. MMS messages can include text, images, videos, and audio files. MMS messages are sent from one phone to another phone or from a computer to a phone.

Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) is a standard way to send messages that include multimedia content to and from a mobile phone over a cellular network. The contents of an MMS message can be any combination of image, video, or audio files attached to each other in any order with no limit on the number of attachments as long as the total size of the message does not exceed the carriers kb limit.

An MMS message can also contain up to 2000 characters in addition to the media files; this is known as an extended character set (ECS) message.
