Panomos

The law and order that is all-encompassing, applying universally to every part, system, and domain without exception

Etymology

From Greek pan- (πᾶν, “all, every, whole”) + nómos (νόμος, “law, custom, order, governance”).
Literal sense: The governance of all things — the lawful framework that covers every entity, condition, and interaction within reality, leaving nothing outside its scope.

Definition

Panomos is the principle of total jurisdiction — a law or order that applies universally, regardless of scale, domain, or nature of the subject.
It is not merely “broad” or “inclusive,” but comprehensive, ensuring that every element, from the smallest part to the largest system, is aligned under one overarching lawful structure.

In the Nomos framework, Panomos is the maximal scope of governance — the “meta-law” to which all other laws, systems, and variations are subordinate.

Core Semantic Units

  1. Universal Application — No part, group, or domain is exempt from its scope.
  2. Complete Integration — Encompasses physical, conceptual, linguistic, and moral domains.
  3. Overarching Authority — Serves as the final reference point for legitimacy.
  4. Coherence Across All — Ensures consistency of order everywhere it applies.

Functional Roles

  • Supersystem Governance — Holds together multiple subsystems under one unified law.
  • Conflict Resolution — Provides the final authority when subsystem rules collide.
  • Boundary Dissolution — Eliminates gaps in jurisdiction where disorder could arise.
  • Stability Assurance — Maintains harmony across the entire structure of reality it governs.

Philosophical Perspective

Panomos embodies the ideal of ultimate unity — that there exists a single, coherent law capable of governing all aspects of existence without contradiction.
It is not a mere aggregation of rules, but a singular principle that contains and reconciles all lawful variations.
If Totalanomos ensures the whole is lawful, Panomos ensures all that exists is within that whole and subject to lawful governance.

It is both the most inclusive and the most demanding form of order — leaving nothing ungoverned and no ambiguity about what is inside or outside the system.

Relation to Other -Nomos Terms

  • Totalanomos — Governs the totality of a specific system; Panomos governs everything without exception.
  • Omniherence — All-encompassing alignment; Panomos is the law that enforces such alignment.
  • Polanomos — Governs the many; Panomos is the governance of the many and the one as a unified whole.
