The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) is an intergovernmental organization that works to ensure the global interoperability of information and communication technologies (ICTs). Established in 1865, it is the oldest international telecommunications body in existence. The ITUβs mission is to bridge the digital divide between developed countries and developing countries by helping them improve their access to ICT services.
