HSUPA, or High Speed Uplink Packet Access, is a 3GPP air interface standard that enables high-speed data transmission from a user device to a network. HSUPA was developed to provide enhanced uplink capabilities for mobile broadband networks, and offers significant improvements in terms of data rates and latency compared to the existing 3GPP standards.

HSUPA provides users with higher data rates for uploads, as well as reduced latency compared to previous generations of wireless technologies. In addition, HSUPA supports both time-division duplexing (TDD) and frequency-division duplexing (FDD), making it compatible with a wide range of spectrum allocations. As mobile broadband usage continues to grow around the world, HSUPA will play an important role in enabling users to take full advantage of these new networks.
