Definition (LogOS standard)
A circular economy is a regenerative system in which material, energy, and informational flows are continually cycled through use, recovery, transformation, and reintroduction into the ecosystem or socio-technical system. It is closed in the sense of no uncontrolled leakage (waste, loss of meaning, loss of energy), but open in the sense of continuous input, adaptive feedback, and evolution.

Why this avoids “assumption traps”
- We define “closed”as no waste / no uncontrolled leakage, not “sealed off from improvement”.
- We define “economy”in its etymological sense (οἰκονομία / oikonomia): the management and stewardship of the household (planetary household, ecosystem).
- We keep “circular”in its geometric, ecological, and economic senses — making it clear that recursion is intentional, healthy, and generative.
