Frequency Modulation (FM) is a type of modulation in which the frequency of a carrier wave is varied in accordance with the amplitude of an input signal. The main advantage of FM over AM (Amplitude Modulation) is that it reduces or eliminates the effects of noise on the signal being transmitted. FM has been found to be more efficient than AM in terms of power consumption and its ability to carry data signals at higher rates over longer distances without degradation.
