The word object has many different definitions, but the most common definition is a thing that can be seen and touched. Objects can be either physical or abstract. Physical objects are things like chairs, tables, and books. Abstract objects are things like ideas and emotions.

Most people think of objects as physical things, but there are actually more abstract objects in the world than physical ones. For example, love is an object. It can’t be seen or touched, but it’s still a real thing. Ideas are also objects. They exist in our minds and we can think about them, even though they’re not physical entities.
