T1 Line Speed: Raw Power

How it used to work: Traditionally, data was moved on phone lines which were made of two copper wires. Phone calls were transmitted at an analog signal and so was data along these wires. This technology is out-dated. Basic dial-up modems in older homes or buildings still work on this principle so the technology is still in use. The phone company now moves traffic digitally for faster, better sounding calls. These lines (fiber optics) have been installed all over.
