<p>The term point to points has been referred as being different things. You may have heard if point to points being called such names as P2P or peer to peer. Websites such as Napster, or any sharing sites are on a peer to peer network. The internet even runs off of this specific network. Everyone is being fed a signal from a designated server.</p>
<p>There are two main point to points systems that are presently utilized. The first system is the basic point to points as well as the modern point to points. The links have pretty much the same concept but they have a few basic differences between them.</p>
<p>Traditional point to points act like a communication middle man that sends information between two specific end points. The master computers are responsible for formatting all the data that will be sent out to the plethora of computers. In close knit networks computers will be joined by a wire that connects all of them together.</p>
<p>Of course if you want to enjoy the peer to peer network from your home you are not going to be able to connect to the master computer. Instead of connecting to this master computer you will be feeding off of the master computers server. All information that is being sent from the master computers server will then inadvertently be sent to yours as well. Basically all computer systems are run off of one huge server that feeds information to everyone.</p>
<p>Point to points telecommunications is another term that you should familirize yourself with. This particular term refers to wireless communications that are going to be run through the internet in order for you to be able to utilize the internet to talk over. The VOIP system works on this complex concept.</p>
<p>There are a plethora of companies that operate off of a <a title="VoIP" href="http://businessprovidervoip.com/">VOIP</a> system. Vonage and skype are two such companies. What happens is the two companies insist that you download certain software or obtain their specific calibrated software in order to be able to let your voice be heard over an internet signal. Everything is traced back to one master computer that has two different end points and then branches off from there.</p>
<p>Point to points are making utilizing the internet extremely easy and less complicated. The terms may be difficult to understand if you are not computer savvy. However everything boils down to this. You are being able to share information with other people because a master computer stores this information and then branches off so you can have the information at your fingertips as well.</p>
