Ideas for a new competitor for Cable/DSL
Please bear in mind this is a Canadian project, and its directly aimed at an urban environment with Cable and DSL from Bell/Rogers/Cogeco as the competition. They seem pretty focused on shooting themselves in the foot, maybe its time to help out a bit... We can get fibre to either the AP site or one hop removed at a very good price, so with the launch of very fast APs using N, or even Alvarion WiMAX in 3.65 or 5.x this seems the time to do something

What Is The Meaning Of Gigabit Per Second (Gbit/s Or Gb/s Or Gbps)?
A kilobit is able to transfer the information at a rate of 1,000 bits in a second, but it is also thought of in a different term which is 125 bytes per second or depending on how you wish to record the information 125 bytes per second. A megabit is able to transfer the given information at 1,000,000 bits per second, 1,000 kilobits bits per second and 125,000 bytes per second.

What Is A Gigabit Per Second (Gbit/s Or Gb/s Or Gbps) And The Meaning Of This Terminology?
A kilobit can send and receive data at a rate of 1,000 bits each second, but you can also calculate it in bytes and the rate of this is 125 in each second passed. Which method used will depend on the manufacturer. The megabit is able to work at speeds of 1,000,000 in a second and if recorded in kilobits it will be 125,000 in a second.

Bandwidth And What It Means For Websites
When you try to decide on hosting services, the bandwidth will always be a component of the pricing. You have the choice of different plans according to the need and the way you're going to use the site. But the bandwidth is a big determination as to how much your monthly hosting fees are going to be.

Bandwidth And It’s Meaning To You
If you have a low bandwidth, and a quick disk drive, the drive can be impeded by the bandwidth. That's why when you go to a hosting company and seek their services, the different options they offer are due to the different amounts of bandwidth that are needed for the different types of site. It translates better as 'how much traffic that can be allowed between the rest of the internet and your site'.
