Carrier Ethernet

Carrier Ethernet Service Is The Internet Of The Future Available Right Now

When Googled, Carrier Ethernet Service would result in a search result appearing that would be tough to fathom for the common mind. Harder still is the notion of the very term used. Even pouring through page over page of the net may not provide the apt answer. Honestly though, the concept is not as tough as it sounds.

Simply said, one is able to get access over the internet by this means. Though, even this would hardly suffice to describe the term well enough. Try this simple scenario. Imagine the first time the internet came about. People got access to the net by means of a dial up connection. Now though the internet was a sure fire boon, the connection was a drag because of its irritatingly sluggish speed. Plus, people had to pay through their noses as it was charged on a minute per minute usage ratio.

The culprit for this was the already existing telephone lines which were at use here. When the internet first came about, it was these very telephone lines that were used for voice calls, which were now being used to carry internet data to people. This posed yet another major calamity. If a person was talking on the phone, they could not get connected to the internet with the same line. This was very infuriating for all at large.

And so, the introduction of the coaxial copper cable. Meaning, a big difference to internet usage. Much to the advantage of the users. First of all, this meant a faster and trustier internet speed. However as there comes the bad with the good, such was the case here too. ISPs had to get down to the gargantuan task of laying new cables to meet the demands of the new infrastructure.

In time, more and more people started to get faster and better internet connections. And as the speed increased, the copper cabling could not take the burden any more. It became unreadable with the increase in speed. Thus there was once again a need for a new kind of cable. A call for more advanced technology was being heralded.

So emerged the new age of cable labeled as fiber optics. With it was built a totally new dimension of infrastructural impossibilities. The impossible that was only the truth. This was once again a new task for ISPs. They would yet again have to lay down new cables. This time it would be in the form of fiber optics. But at least there would be stability online because of this.

The internet speed had doubled by now. It had even broken the double digit barrier. Still internet service providers were not happy. They wanted more, more, and more. And more they got indeed in the form of the now famed T series connections. These gave connectivity to the unimaginable extent of 1Mbps to 400Mbps. And this was a very big hit with conglomerates.

Carrier Ethernet service is basically responsible for providing users with internet connections of higher bandwidths. This was seen as the net technology of the future because of the many benefits it had like savings on costs, improvements on returns. And these were just a couple in a long list, yet to be uncovered.

DS3 Speeds Without DS3 Prices

Companies needing large amount of bandwidth for ecommerce, video transport, medical records transfer, or dedicated Internet access have traditionally turned to DS3 connections to get speeds much higher than T1 lines can provide. But now there’s an alternative that can give you DS3 speeds without paying DS3 prices. What’s new in the world of telecommunications services is Metro Ethernet and Carrier Ethernet
