T3 Line Bandwidth – What You Should Know
In today’s world having an internet at home is not such a big deal. About fifteen years ago, having an internet connection was supposed to be an extravaganza. People would “oohh and “ahhh over internet and it was supposed to be a highly complex thing, understood and needed by technical people. However, in today’s world, not having an internet connection is oddity and people actually gawk at people whose lives stay offline. In fact, these days the race for getting the speediest and cheapest connectivity is on. The T3 line bandwidth also known as DS3 line bandwidth provides such a connectivity and at much cheaper rates.
It is basically a connection, usually non-optical fiber one and can give you data transmissions with the rates of 45 Mbps. It is reliable and useful for networks as are present in offices, for ISPs, for universities and research places where internet is used all the time and all computer terminals want equal bandwidth. With other internet service, many computer attached in a network create a bottle neck. T3 connectivity helps in avoiding that bottle neck.
T3 uses the principles of T-Carrier. T-Carrier was an expensive connectivity channel and initially it was limited to research facilities and offices.
Then it evolved into T1 which provided 1. 54 Mbps while T-Carrier consisted of data transmission rate 64 kbps. T1 later evolved to T2 and then T3.
In case of T3, the data transmission rate is 45 Mbps and using eight bits per sample in a frame. T3 itself is on a self-evolving course and in future we may have more bandwidth and better connectivity even than this.
You must have noticed that I keep calling the T3 connectivity as DS3. They are actually the names of a same technology. Similarly, T1 is same as DS1 and T2 is same as DS3. If you have decided that you want to get the T3 connection, the next thing would be to find a list of good ISP providers that have a good reputation and offers discount on rates of the T3 connectivity.
If you rush into accepting the offer of an ISP without doing a market survey, analyzing the connectivity costs, you might end up with an expensive T3 connectivity. It is a good idea to find out if there are any hidden charges attached with the T3 line and also to find a good deal with free installation offers. You might also need to have free and good customer services in case of trouble with the line. T3 is definitely the in thing today.
A few months down the road, T3 or DS3 will become a household name. It provides reliability and even flexibility and provides security. The T3 line bandwidth is very high and gives equal data transmission rates to all the computers connected through a network. It is also relatively cheap and with ISP giving out lucrative offers, it is affordable. If you are looking to adopt T3 line bandwidth, find a good ISP and sign the deal to enjoy an uninterrupted service.
