(BOPL) Broadband Over Power Line Is A New Entrant

The use of this technology by the public power utilities have modified their power lines to allow data transfer through short wave, medium wave or low band VHF frequencies. The concept of BOPL was discovered quite some time ago and has only very recently been implemented. It interfered with ham radio, the most important communication medium used in times of disasters. The current popularity of Broadband Over Power Line's is based on the fact that broadband technology usage has multiplied ten folds but even now there are places that are inaccessible and cannot be provided high-speed internet.
