What Is A T3 And Where Are The T3 Providers?
For the sake of this article we will assume that you are new to the world of telephone line connections, telephone line connection speeds and T3 providers. The information you will find below is a basic outline of what a T3 connection is and which companies offer this type of connection. You will also find out more about the speed of the T1, T2, T3, T4 and Ethernet connections.
We all want to offer our clients the best and we all want to have a good speed internet connection at home. There is nothing worse than waiting around for a page to connect to a server, or to make a payment via internet backing. We all remember the days of the dial up connection – let’s not go back there!
To start off with, you will need to know a bit more about the T1 type of connection. This is, after all, where it all started. The T1 is the cheapest connection out of the T series of connections. This is because it is the first, and also because it is the slowest of the lot. The higher the t code the more you will pay. For everyday home use for emails and such, the T1 is the perfect connection. However, you will have to consider a few things.
With a speed of up to 1.5 Mbps, the T1 connection will not work for an office building, and it will definitely not work if you are doing more than browsing the internet at home. To do more than the normal things at the office you may want to go for the T2 connection. This offers a pretty decent speed of 6.4 Mbps. However, what if you want to relay important data from on office to another? You do not want this data to stay in your connection for a long time, because someone else may be able to get hold of it.
Take the ATM for example. You will not find a single ATM out there without a connect that is either the T3 or higher. The information relayed to and from these machines is very important. The longer it takes to transfer information, the more vulnerable that information is. The T3 is the better option here, as it gives you a faster speed when compared to the T1 and T2 coming in at 45 Mbps.
That is a great speed, but what if you are looking for more? The T4 and Ethernet are the answer here. These two are the daddies of all internet connections and offer speed of 272.1 Mbps and 400.3 Mbps respectively.
Ok, now the speeds are a bit out of the way, so we will take a closer look at the T3 providers. Before we start, you should know that all of the below listed providers also offer the rest of the t series connections.
Sprint is one of the biggest providers around, so it is obvious that they will offer these connections. AT&T offer the T3 connection too, along with Mega Path, Tele Pacific and ITC, DeltaCom. Always remember to shop around for the best T3 providers. Narrow down the list and then see which one suits your budget and needs before you make a purchase.
