Uses Of DS1 Internet Out There

One of several different ways you can connect to the internet that’s what the DS1 internet is all about. Sometimes it will be referred to as the T1 line too. Digital signal 1 and T1 are the same thing, and they are used to transmit both voice and data. Created by Bell labs back in the day this method will use the voice lines and data lines together, creating a circuit that has 8 24 bit channels.

Used by locations in the US and Japan mostly when it first came out. This circuit can send and receive information. The speed at which it can get information in is around 1. 544 megabits per second. Not too shabby when you remember that it came out in the 90s.

Information must be framed to be sent, it’s done by the set up automatically. There are two different types of framing for DS1 internet. First is the Super frame, where you receive 12 -193 bit frames consecutively. The other type of framing is extended super frame where its 24-193 bit frames received. Those framing choices cannot be used together though; they split up the information in a different way.

When DS1 first came out it was used by the bigger companies and phone companies who needed the faster connection levels it was providing. Now it’s used by cell companies to connect their main towers with the little towers that can be located in different cities.

A system like many internet connections which will warn you when a problem is happening. There are three main alarms that the DS1 internet will show. They are red, yellow, and blue, each have a separate meaning. With red it’s a quick way to know you’ve lost connectivity. Red means stop, that’s the best way to remember this alarm and what it means.

While a yellow alarm you can look at as a slow but the process is still going. A caution warning, it means the other side where you are getting information from has a red alarm. You will notice the information you get in will be much less if any. A red and yellow alarm cannot happen in the same place at the same time.

The blue alarm means that some or your equipment is not working the right way. Maybe it needs to be replaced or a system reset. With a blue alarm you know you will need to call in some help to fix the problem.

DS1 internet is not the only way in which you can get an internet connection. By far you have several other options out there to choose from. It’s just highlighted because it was a huge deal when first coming out. A great way in which many companies were hurled onto the internet with faster than normal speeds at that time. It’s something that was well created by Bell Labs and moved on to be the main idea behind many other ways to communication on the internet.
